The Hindi film industry is incomplete if we don’t come across the name, Karan Johar. Karan is one of the few directors of Hindi cinema whose vision for particular films has fetched him a lot of appreciation and critical acclaim. He’s one of the most loved directors and producers whose solid mindset has given Bolywood its biggest blockbusters. From a talk-show host to a director/producer, Karan Johar has proved himself every time and stood upright with a solid sense of belief in himself and his loyal fans.
Today on Karan’s 45th birthday, we wish him to have a very happy one, and present below a few reasons why we have loved him and always will.
The renowned director and producer, Karan Johar, marked his directorial debut in the Hindi film industry with “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” and gave us some of the best memories watching this romantic-drama. The film earned Karan a Filmfare Award for the Best Director and Best Screenplay. There is no KJo aka Karan Johar fanatic who wouldn’t know the absolute dialogues of this amazing film.
Koffee with Karan: That one show we have always talked and discussed about with our friends! This outstanding talk show hosted by Karan has been the only saving grace on Indian television. From discovering the inside stories of celebrities to controversy between certain actors, it has all been revamped on this show with every new season. The first episode of Koffee with Karan was aired on November 20, 2004 and since then, this show has been a complete mass entertainer and we love him for that.
You know the film is going to be high-end and promising if it’s a Dharma Productions’ film. Karan, we cannot thank you enough for giving us some the best films of all times such as Kal Ho Na Ho (2003), Wake Up Sid (2009), My Name Is Khan (2010), Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2013), Dear Zindagi (2016), and so so many more. Dharma productions has always managed to surprise its audiences with different genres of films that we will never get enough of.
No “sangeet” is complete without Karan’s perfect celebratory songs! May it be Channa Mereya, Bole Chudiyan, Kabira, Nachde Ne Saare, or Radha, these songs are at the top of the playlist and played at every Indian family’s celebration. Every year there are numerous songs which come and make their way out but a few songs like “Channa Mereya”, “Love you Zindagi” and “Kal Ho Na Ho” given by KJo are still entranced in our hearts for which we are obliged.
