Hysterical Hits | Upcoming and Promising

The genre of comedy in Hindi Cinema has always pleased each and everyone. Numerous comical
films hit the theatres every year but only a few make their way to our hearts. Some of the cult
classics are Andaz Apna Apna, 3 Idiots, Welcome, Golmaal, Hera Pheri, Garam Masala and many
more. Very few directors in Hindi Cinema understand the comical nature of the Indian audiences
and make movies to cater them the hilarious time of their life.
Mentioned below is a list of comical classics & promising hysterical films to hit the theatres soon
and leave you gasping for breath.

1. Judwaa 2

Judwaa 2 is a reboot of the film Judwaa (1997) and an action-comedy film directed by David
Dhawan. The film stars Varun Dhawan in the lead playing the characters Raja and Prem, opposite
Taasee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film looked promising and had created a humongous
buzz among its audiences before the release of the film. Although numerous people found the film
to be reviving and relived the classic, some of the audiences were quite disappointed with Varun’s
portrayal of the characters and found it to be hammed. The songs in the film have been appreciated
by all and people are still dancing to the tunes of “Tan Tana Tan”
and “Oonchi Hai Building.” Inspite of the film not living upto the expectations of the audiences,
Judwaa 2 has crossed 5 Million Dollars overseas and still counting.

2. Golmaal Again

The Golmaal film franchise has never failed to leave its audiences in splits whenever it comes to
comedy and is a name that anyone and anybody can associate with. Golmaal Again is Rohit
Shetty’s fourth installment to this hilarious series and one of the most promising comical movies to
hit the theatres soon. Directed and co-produced by Rohit Shetty, Golmaal Again is a light-hearted
comedy-drama which has a touch of horror and a hint of magic this time, to entertain its audiences
in the most hysterical way possible. The film stars multiple actors including Ajay Devgn, Parineeti
Chopra, Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu, Prakash Raj and many more. With Golmaal being an
all time entertainer, there are higher expectations from this comical drama.

3. Tumhari Sulu

We have witnessed the talented Vidya Balan make justice to some of the toughest characters in
films like Kahaani, The Dirty Picture, Begum Jaan and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Vidya has always surprised her audiences with her acting skills and this time it’s nothing different. Tumhari Sulu is an
upcoming T-series’ film wherein we will witness Vidya essaying the titular role of Sulochana a.k.a
Sulu who is a beautiful and happy-go- lucky housewife whose life changes when she unexpectedly
lands herself with an exciting job of a night radio jockey on a leading radio station in Mumbai.
Balan’s loyal audiences are hoping to be amused, yet again, and waiting for the film to release at the
Burning calories from 24th November, 2017 at a theatre near you.

4. 102 Not Out

Umesh Shukla’s 102 Not Out, has been one of the most anticipated films of the year and we cannot
wait to witness two of the most versatile actors of Hindi Cinema, Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi
Kapoor pair up together after 26 years for this film. The film is a comedy-drama where Amitabh
Bachchan will be playing the role of a 102 year old man and Rishi Kapoor will be seen portraying
the role of his 75 year old son. The plot of the story is based on the Gujarati play on the same name
by Soumya Joshi. We have seen both these actors portray roles that defy their age and also enjoyed
their depiction of good old grandpas such as Rishi Kapoor in Kapoor and Sons, Do Dooni Chaar
and Hum Tum, and Amitabh Bachchan in Paa, Bhoothnath, Chupke Chupke and many more. This
unusual duo of a father and son is expected to stun the audiences and break box office records. This
December, before you get any older.

5. Fukrey Returns

Excel Entertainment’s Fukrey Returns is an upcoming Indian youth comedy film which is the
sequel to the 2013 film Fukrey. Fukrey proved to be the epitome of comedy with the portrayal of
typical Delhi boys coming together to make money. Characters like Choocha (Varun Sharma) and
Hunny (Pulkit Samrat) were hilariously portrayed which are still entrenched in our hearts. In an
interview, Pulkit Samrat explained how he has shredded extra kilos for a leaner look in Fukrey
Returns. He added that he will be playing a college boy in the film opposite Ali Fazal and Varun
Sharma. Richa Chadha too is all set to revamp her character as Bholi Punjaban and entertain the
audiences to the fullest. With not much being told about the movie, we hope Fukrey Returns to
crack us up yet again and outdo the cult classic, Fukrey.
